BT Commercial has taken an important step forward by successfully competing in the Green Sustainability Awards. On the 6th of May, Dynamic Events organised a Conference on Sustainable For Green Future for Collective Organisation, Hospitality and Business. Dr Miriam Dalli, Minister for the Environment, Energy and Enterprise and many other speakers were part of the conference. At the end of the conference, an award ceremony was held by the Malta Waste Management, Recycling & Green Sustainability Awards where Maltese companies, having the environment as their core value in their business, were awarded in different categories.
The winners were selected by a jury of experts; Gabriella Borda ESG Advisor/Carbon Analyst, Claire Ciancio Founder and CEO of Greenroads Limited, Doris Sammut Bonnici MEA representative at EESC, Prof. Paul Pace Centre for Environmental Education & Research, University of Malta, Tonio Montebello Consultant at TMConsult – Waste Management & Business Advisor.
BT Commercial was awarded two awards for “Best Initiatives in E-Waste Recycling” and “Eco Excellence Award” categories thanks to their e-waste management system, sustainable building and sustainable product strategy.

Our Sustainable Promises
- E-waste management: With the help of WEEE Malta we recycle old air conditioning units, water heaters, appliances and other products.
- Packaging Recycling: All our product packaging is either recycled or reused.

- Sustainable Products: Our goal is to reach a 10-year expectancy for our products by 2024. We strongly believe in sustainability, and strongly believe that units sold by us should maximize the product lifecycle as much as possible. We have a plan for product sustainability which means that will work and make sure we are practically possible, and that our products have a lifespan of ten years. That gives added value to our customers and also reduces unnecessary waste streams being used. For this, we have built a business intelligence system for parts re-ordering and trained our staff to use it in an efficient way.
